Serbian painter Jelena Tankosic`s works can be found in private collections worldwide. Tankosic works with acrylic on canvas, which she occasionally augments with a touch of oil. Tankosic`s first concern is texture- once she is satisfied with the textural balance, she composes the forms. Inspired by symbolism and mythology, Tankosic often paints scenes from matriarchal societies, as well as images from nature.
